Trip Itinerary

Day: 01 Arrival at Kathmandu (1300m).

Upon your arrival at the airport, one of our company representatives will give you a warm welcome and make sure that your transfer to the hotel is smooth and hassle-free. Once you reach the hotel, our team will be there to greet you. Later in the evening, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., we'll arrange a pre-trek briefing. This short meeting is an excellent opportunity for you to get to know the other members of your group before we all head out to enjoy a delightful dinner. The welcome dinner will feature authentic Nepalese cuisine, along with captivating cultural dance performances that will immerse you in the rich cultural traditions of Nepal.

Day: 02 Full day Guided Tour in Kathmandu valley with City Tour Guide

Today, you will have the opportunity to explore Kathmandu with our experienced city tour guide. Our itinerary includes several remarkable sites:

  • SWOYAMBHUNATH, also known as the Monkey Temple, is perched atop a hill and can be reached by climbing a long set of steps. From there, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Kathmandu.
  • BOUDHANATH STUPA is adorned with traditional Gompas adorned with vibrant prayer flags. It serves as a focal point for Sherpas and Tibetans who partake in the spiritual practice of circumambulating the stupa (koras).
  • PASHUPATINATH, a sacred Hindu temple, is situated on the banks of the Bagmati River and features ghats where cremation ceremonies take place, offering a unique glimpse into Hindu rituals.

Day: 03 Kathmandu to Khudi Khola (790m)

Our adventure commences with an early morning drive to Khudi Khola, offering us enchanting vistas of terraced farms and charming huts throughout the journey. Passing through Dumre, which lies ahead of Pokhara and Lamjung, we will then proceed north to Besisahar. From there, a short, half-hour drive will transport us to Khudi, the starting point of our exhilarating trek. Alternatively, for the more adventurous souls amongst us, an option awaits to embark on a trek from Besisahar. This scenic hike takes approximately one hour along a wide trail, leading us to the picturesque village of Khudi. Whichever route we choose, the journey promises to immerse us in the breathtaking beauty of Nepal's landscapes and its rural charm.

Day: 04 Khudi Khola to Sirung (1,804m)

On our first day of trekking, we will embark on an awe-inspiring journey through suspension bridges, waterfalls, rice paddies, and a subtropical forest. The trail will include both gradual inclines and steeper paths, bringing us closer to the mountains we admired from Khudi. Along the way, we will pass through the charming Tamang settlement of Taranche before reaching the quaint village of Sirung, where we will be treated to breathtaking views of the Nadi Chuli and Manaslu mountains. It is important to take breaks, rest, and appreciate the natural beauty while maintaining a steady pace to ensure a safe arrival at our destination. Day: 05 Sirung to Jagat (1,314m)

From Sirung, we embark on a relatively easy trail towards Jagat. Leaving behind the village terraces, we traverse a captivating landscape of forests, ferns, and woodlands. Along the way, we pass through small villages and visit temples, immersing ourselves in the local culture and gaining insight into the region's way of life. At Mipra, we cross a suspension bridge over Sangu Khola, offering a view of a nearby waterfall. Continuing our journey, we cross another suspension bridge at Syange, spanning the mighty Marshyangdi River and providing breathtaking views of the surroundings. After crossing one more bridge, we reach Jagat, our final destination for the day.

Day: 06 Jagat to Dharapani (1,943m)

The trail from Jagat leads us through a lush forest and descends to the riverbank, offering stunning views of the Annapurna mountain ranges. We pass by the charming village of Chyamje, crossing a suspension bridge before facing a challenging climb to Seattle on a slippery path strewn with rocks. As we descend, we encounter a serene grassy riverbank near Tal, where we take a moment to rest and appreciate the tranquil surroundings. The journey continues through rugged terrain and winding paths, leading us to the forested village of Karte, with captivating waterfalls and cliffs along the way. After crossing another suspension bridge, we finally arrive at our resting place for the day, Dharapani, where we can recharge for the next leg of our adventure.

Day: 07 Dharapani to Koto (2,575m)

Leaving Dharapani, the trail gradually ascends through a newly developed, rugged path along the mountainside. After several kilometers of trekking, we reach the delightful village of Danique before making a steep ascent to Timang. Throughout this stretch, we are treated to breathtaking views of the majestic Manaslu and snowcapped Annapurna mountain ranges. The journey also takes us through scenic apple orchards, enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings. Finally, we reach our campsite in Koto, where we can rest and prepare for the next phase of our remarkable Annapurna Circuit Trek. This section offers an unforgettable combination of stunning landscapes and cultural encounters, making it a truly memorable part of the adventure.

Day: 08 Koto to Meta (3,560m)

In the morning, we acquire our restricted area permit at the police checkpoint before resuming our trek. We follow the trail along the picturesque riverbank of Soti Khola, passing through enchanting pine forests and crossing streams and suspension bridges on our path to Dharmasala. During the trek, we take a break to enjoy our packed lunch. After lunch, we continue through the forests, embarking on a steep ascent towards Meta village. As we climb higher, we find ourselves gradually reaching the Tibetan Plateau, where we are rewarded with awe-inspiring views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.

Day: 09 Meta to Kyang (3,740m)

The trail beyond Meta presents greater challenges as we navigate through a roller-coaster maze of glacial moraines. The landscape offers a stunning combination of white rocks, low shrubs, juniper, scattered evergreens, vibrant brick-red and orange leafy bushes, and crumbling shelves of flat slate. The trail itself is composed of white, sandy paths. After a short walk, we reach a trail junction that provides a clear view of the Nar valley, adorned with a monastery and chorten. Continuing past Jhunam at an elevation of 3,640m, we reach Chyakhu, a former Khampa settlement situated at 3,800m. Along the way, we pass numerous chortens, traversing both uphill and downhill sections, before finally arriving at the picturesque settlement valley of Kyang. Here, we are treated to magnificent mountain vistas, including Pisang Peak, Annapurna II, Gyaji Kang, and more.

Day: 10 Kyang to Phu Gaon (4,050m)

Descending steeply towards the Phu Khola, the trek follows the riverbank, offering intriguing sights such as the "submarine" rock and potential camping spots. Along this path, the distinctive and colorful chortens that Nar and Phu are renowned for start to appear. After carefully crossing a small glacial stream, you'll then encounter a larger stream with a bridge partially covered in large slate slabs. Continuing for another hour and a half through picturesque canyons and gorges, you'll reach the Phu gate, known as Pupigyal Kwe, guarding the steep trail leading up to Phu. From the gate, you'll catch your first glimpse of the three villages of Phu, an ancient "dzong," and the remains of two forts atop the flatlands before Phu, despite being in ruins, still leave a remarkable impression.

Day: 11 Excursion day

While staying in Phu, you'll have the chance to engage with the locals and gain insights into their unique way of life. Exploring the expansive valley systems above the village, you can embark on a walk to the summer grazing settlement, or Kharka at Ngoru, which takes approximately three hours beyond the gompa. Phu village itself is a fascinating place, where you can observe the villagers spinning yak and sheep wool while engaging in friendly conversations with them. Your overnight accommodation will be at a campsite in Phu Valley, providing you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking mountain scenery that surrounds you.

Day: 12 Phu to Junam (3,600m)

Beginning your journey from Phu, you'll traverse through the historic gate of Pupigyal Kwe and start descending towards the riverbank of Phu Khola. Along the way, you'll encounter the distinctive and colorful chortens that are characteristic of Nar and Phu. Crossing a small glacial stream and then a larger one with a bridge partially covered in slate, you'll continue your trek through picturesque canyon lands and gorges until you reach Junam Kharka.

Day: 13 Junam to Nar Gaon (4,110m)

On this day, your trek takes you down to an ancient bridge that stretches across a deep, contoured, and narrow gorge, only to ascend again on the other side. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking. Along the way, you'll have views of Gyalbu Kumbu, a monastery built in 1650, and Satte Gompa, both of which are now uninhabited. Eventually, you'll arrive at the Nar gates located at the top of a hill. Here, you'll pass by yet another row of beautifully painted, bamboo-topped chortens, as well as a large tiered chorten. The journey continues to offer mesmerizing sights and cultural treasures.

Day: 14 Cross Kang La Pass (5,320m). Trek to Ngawal (3,660m)

Prepare for a challenging day ahead by waking up early and embarking on the journey towards the Kang La Pass, reconnecting us with the popular Annapurna Circuit. Although not excessively difficult, the pass's altitude effects may make it a demanding day. Upon reaching the pass's summit, we'll be greeted with a mesmerizing view of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. The descent begins steeply, offering the opportunity for thrilling scree running if desired. We'll pause for a satisfying lunch on a plateau with panoramic views before continuing our trek towards Ngawal. This village, located on the upper Pisang route of the Annapurna Circuit, presents a notable contrast to the ancient villages we've encountered. Expect larger lodges, extensive menus, and the availability of WiFi and phone signals in most establishments.

Day: 15 Ngawal to Manang (3,540m)

Departing from Ngawal, our trek takes us through a scenic forest as we cross a suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi River. Gradually ascending, we pass by charming small villages and apple orchards, eventually reaching the renowned village of Braga. Braga is famous for its ancient Gompa, a monastery that dates back to the 8th century. We take the opportunity to explore the Gompa, where priceless Buddhist artifacts and frescoes can be found, immersing ourselves in its historical and spiritual significance. Continuing on our journey, we head towards Manang, all the while reveling in the breathtaking views of the majestic Annapurna, Gangapurna, and other Himalayan peaks that grace the horizon.

Day: 16 Manang to Shree Kharka (4,000m)

The trek from Manang to Khangsar takes about 2–3 hours, depending on walking speed. Initially, the trail is easy, running alongside the Marsyangdi River. As we progress, it becomes more challenging, ascending towards Khangsar. En route, we'll pass through small settlements and enjoy breathtaking mountain views. Khangsar's traditional architecture will be evident, allowing time for exploration before continuing the trek. From Khangsar to Shree Kharka, expect a steep uphill climb taking about 3–4 hours, depending on pace. The rugged terrain requires a level of physical fitness. Throughout this stretch, we'll be treated to stunning views of surrounding mountain peaks, including Annapurna and Gangapurna.

Day: 17 Shree Kharka to Tilicho BC (4,150m)

The trek from Shree Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp is a demanding ascent that typically takes around 5–6 hours, depending on walking speed. The trail winds through rugged terrain, necessitating a good level of physical fitness. Throughout the journey, we will be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountain peaks, including Gungang Himal and Mt. Chulu. Along the way, we'll pass through several small settlements before finally arriving at Tilicho Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 4,140 meters. Here, we can take a well-deserved rest and spend the night in preparation for the next leg of our adventure.

Day: 18 Excursion to Tilicho Lake (4,919m)

The journey to Tilicho Lake from Tilicho Base Camp is a challenging yet highly rewarding trek, typically taking around 6-7 hours, depending on individual walking speed. Ascending to an altitude of 4,919 meters, this trail requires a good level of physical fitness. Throughout the trek, we will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain peaks and the mesmerizing turquoise-colored Tilicho Lake itself. The serene atmosphere and unspoiled beauty of the natural surroundings will enthrall us as we get closer to the lake. It is crucial to prioritize safety and acclimatize properly, as the high altitude may lead to symptoms of altitude sickness. After spending time at the lake, soaking in its splendor, we will return to Tilicho Base Camp to rest for the night.

Day: 19 Cross Mesokenta La Pass (5,025m). Trek to Yak Kharka (3,600m)

From Tilicho Base Camp, we trek towards the Mesokenta La Pass, ascending steeply about 300 meters to reach the ridge high above the lake. After traversing a couple of ridges, we make a short, steep climb to reach the pass. From there, we're treated to stunning views that stretch back to the lake, along with panoramic vistas of the Nilgiri peaks and Dhaulagiri on the far side of the Kali Gandaki Gorge. After enjoying the views, we begin our descent towards Yak Kharka. The descent is steep and potentially slippery, especially if there's snow on the trail, so caution is required on the loose and rocky terrain. Along the way, we pass through beautiful alpine meadows and cross several small streams before reaching Yak Kharka, a charming settlement situated at an altitude of 4,110 meters.

Day: 20 Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2,670m)

Beginning our trek from Yak Kharka, we ascend along the east bank of the Jarsang Khola before descending and crossing the stream via a wooden bridge at 4,310 meters. Along the way, keep an eye out for surprises such as sightings of blue sheep and even snow-capped leopards. Above, you may observe choughs, large lammergeiers, and Himalayan griffons soaring gracefully in the skies. The trail continues with a long descent along a ridge, gradually leading us to the Kali Gandaki River and the village of Jomsom. Upon reaching Jomsom, we settle into a comfortable lodge conveniently located near the airport.

Day: 21 By Domestic Plane: Jomsom to Pokhara (820m)

In the morning, we'll board a scenic flight to Pokhara, where we'll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, as well as the remarkable Kali Gandaki gorge, the world's deepest gorge. Upon arrival, we have the option to spend the day relaxing in our hotel or venture out to explore the captivating Lake Side area, known for its stunning mountain panoramas and natural splendor. Pokhara offers an array of intriguing attractions, including the fascinating Mahendra Cave, David's Fall, and several picturesque lakes. We can leisurely explore and immerse ourselves in the captivating beauty of this enchanting destination, making the most of our time in Pokhara.

Day: 22 Pokhara to Kathmandu

After a delicious breakfast, we say goodbye to the enchanting lake city of Pokhara and embark on a scenic drive to Kathmandu. Whether you choose to relax or explore the vibrant markets for unique souvenirs, this free time allows for personal enjoyment before we continue our adventure in this captivating city.

Day: 23 Free day in Kathmandu for self-visit and shopping

Today we have free time to explore Kathmandu on our own. You could spend the day shopping for souvenirs, exploring the colorful streets and bazaars, or sampling the local cuisine. You could also go to some of the city's popular tourist attractions, such as Bhaktapur and Patan, which highlight Nepal's rich cultural and historical heritage. You could also participate in other activities such as hiking, biking, or adventure sports, or simply relax and rejuvenate at one of the city's many spas and wellness centers. Whatever you decide, make sure to take in the unique sights, sounds, and flavors of this wonderful city.

Day: 24 Transfer to Kathmandu International airport for departure

Today, we will transfer to Kathmandu International Airport to depart. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we will collect our belongings and head to the airport. We will arrive at the airport on time to complete all of the necessary formalities and board our flight. Before we leave this enchanting country, take one last look at the breathtaking Himalayan views and appreciate the Nepalese people's warm hospitality and kindness. This concludes our tour, and we hope you had a memorable and enjoyable experience in Nepal.
