Ama Dablam Expedition Summit 2025

Ama Dablam Expedition 2025 Summit Success: A Remarkable Achievement

Ama Dablam SummitA French climber named Frank Gilles Charles Locatelli made a wonderful accomplishment on November 17, 2025, at 7:54 am when he reached the top of Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m). With the help of the well-known and expert Nepali mountain guide Dambar Gurung, the two of them climbed one of the Himalayas' most famous peaks early in the morning. Because Ama Dablam is known as one of the most technically difficult and aesthetically stunning mountains in Nepal, this achievement is even more impressive. The summit is often called the "Matterhorn of the Himalayas" because climbers can go up difficult, steep ridges, sections that aren't protected, and breathtaking vertical ascents.

A Successful Ascent on a Perfect Himalayan Morning

Late at night, the push to the top of Ama Dablam began at Camp 2, which is the traditional high camp for the expedition. With clear skies and stable weather, the two climbers went up steep rock faces, fixed ropes, exposed ridges, and the famous ice features on the mountain. Their steady progress demonstrated their excellent coordination and planning skills.

Early in the morning on November 17, 2025, Frank and Dambar climbed to the top of Ama Dablam, which is often called the "Matterhorn of the Himalayas" because of its beautiful pyramid shape. They were greeted at the top with stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and the whole Khumbu Valley lit up by the rising sun.

A Team of Experience and Determination

This successful Ama Dablam Expedition showed how dedicated climber Frank Locatelli was. He had wonderful stamina and technical skill. Guide Dambar Gurung, renowned for scaling Everest, Manaslu, and numerous other 6,000- and 7,000-meter Himalayan peaks, led the group. He made sure everyone stayed safe as they climbed Ama Dablam's difficult terrain. Their success shows how important professional guiding, careful acclimatization, and a shared love of Nepalese mountaineering are.

Ama Dablam: A Jewel of the Khumbu

Mountaineers love Ama Dablam for its dramatic ridges, exposed pitches, and the "Dablam" glacier that hangs in the air. Only those with physical fitness and experience in rock and ice climbing can successfully ascend this mountain. Any climber will always remember a successful ascent like this, especially in November when the weather is usually favorable.

Congratulations to the team.

We are very happy to hear that Frank Gilles Charles Locatelli and his guide Dambar Gurung were able to reach the top of Ama Dablam in 2025. Their achievement adds another inspiring chapter to the history of Himalayan mountaineering and shows that Nepal is a great place for adventure seekers.
